1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technology, such as your browser’s local storage, can remember settings on your device.
2.The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to the student, parent or staff portal | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| tc_result | Keeps a result open after you check it, without spending another use of the code | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes |
| theme (stored on your device, not a cookie) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode | Preference | Until you clear your browser data |
| cookie-consent (stored on your device, not a cookie) | Remembers your answer to the cookie banner | Strictly necessary | Until you clear your browser data |
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for signing in and checking results, so they cannot be switched off on this site. We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
3.Other services
- Google Maps: the map on the Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies. It loads only if you choose “Accept all” or press “Allow and show map”.
- Flutterwave: when you pay online you move to Flutterwave’s payment page, which uses its own cookies to process and secure the payment.
- WhatsApp: the chat buttons open WhatsApp, which is covered by its own policies.
4.Controlling cookies
When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow optional cookies. You can change your answer at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the portal or keep a result open. Clearing your browser data also resets your light or dark mode choice and your cookie answer.
