COLLEGE POLICIES
- The documents submitted by the student in the process of admission must be authentic and completely genuine for which the parents hereby guarantee and vouch for.
- Parents are submissive to the principles of the Schools and abide by the School rules and regulations vis-a-vis the best formation of the student moral and academically.
- The visiting day shall be the last Sunday of every month.
- The School is exempted from consequences of unforseen occurrences during the program sanctioned or authorised by the Schools including but not limited to excursion, inter house sport, students’ itineraries, Etc.
- Expulsion or Suspension of students on the ground of established indiscipline or flouting of the policies, rules, and regulations of the school shall not elicit any kind of protest or violence against the school from and by the parents.
- School shall administer minimal first aid treatment withing two days of any Ill-health of the student. After that and if the condition continues, the sick student shall be sent for proper medical treatment in the hospital affiliated with the school. The medical bill for such further treatment at the said hospital shall be paid by the parents of the custodians of the student within three days of the students’ treatment.
- Parents to cooperate with the school and support as occurred to her in best possible way as it becomes necessary.
- Parents to pay the school fees of the students every term not later than seven days of resumption. The payment for every term can be done before the resumption of such term.
- Parents to pay the transportation fees and other payment incidentally necessary for the transportation of the students where applicable (this specially applies mainly to students coming from outside of Nigeria).
- Damage to the school properties by the student shall be repaired, fix or replaced as the case may be within seven days by the student through his/her parent or custodians.
- The school reserves the right to discipline the student pursuant to the dutiful and careful pursuit and observation of the cherish and fundamental three cardinal formations and principles of the school is rooted in, to wit; academic, moral and spiritual excellence. Disciplinary measures include flogging, manual labour, suspension, expulsion, Etc. The judgement of the school shall prevail and parents shall not make unnecessary misrepresentation against the school.
- Parents also agreed to pay any other contingent fees as many arise in the course of the child’s education and progress in the school.
- Parents shall mandatrily attend the school Feast (THEOTOKOS FEAST/CULTURAL DAY) and any other school organized event whish the presence of the parents is requested/required as will be duly communicated by the school authority.
- Bullying, fighting, all forms of sexual immorality, boyfriend/girlfriend, disobedience to school authority, loitering around, smoking, use of mobile phones or any such gadgets, examination malpractice, are strictly prohibited.
- Parent should be aware that the lockers, stools, bunks, and mattresses of the student are not their personal properties, they belong to the school. They are on rentage basis. PENALTIES AVAILABLE FOR OFFENCES AND FLOUTING OF THE SCHOOL POLICIES, RULES AND REGULATIONS
A. Offences of stealing, all forms of sexual immoralities boyfriend/girlfriend, acts of insubordination attracts automatic penalty of expulsion.
B. Offences of bullying, fighting attracts penalty of suspension and or expulsion. If suspension is applicable, the affected student (s) after serving the period of suspension shall come for lifting of the suspension in the company of his/her parents with letter of undertaking for good behaviour and any other requirements as the school may deem proper to include given the circumstances of the case.
C. Offence of examination malpractice in any form or guise attracts penalty of suspension and or direct expulsion depending on the circumstances of the case.
D. It is an offence for the students to fail to report back to school within the stipulated time as contained in the school directive, policies or rules and regulations after each break of holidays except with prior permission from the school authority. The offence attracts a monetary penalty as well as determined by the school which must be paid by the student/parent before entrance to school is granted.
E. Other offences like failing to participate in school activities, and smuggling into the school prohibited items like mobile phones, or similar gadgets, food items attracts monetary sanction as in the above paragraph e in equal measures.
Open Day
It is our belief that Parents and Teachers are partners in student’s progress. Hence, every half term, on the Saturday preceding the mid-term break, we observe our Parents Open Day. This affords parents the opportunity to see the progress made by their children. It also allows them to meet with their children’s teachers; find out the level of improvement, and what could be done to help the children.
Visiting Day
Parents are allowed to visit their wards once in a term. The date is usually communicated to parents prior to the visiting day.
Withdrawals
Parents who wish to withdraw their wards are expected to give a term’s notice in writing to the school. This would help the school in facilitating the necessary documents that could affect such withdrawal. If any parent fails to notify the school, such parent would pay a terms fee in lieu of notice.
Unaccepted Items
Our students are not expected to come to school with unapproved items. Such items include:
- Radio
- Mobile Phones (GSM)
- IPOD
- Other Items that are deemed as prohibited by the School Authorities
To this effect, a list of approved items and the school code of conduct are issued to students. Students are not expected to bring Beverages to the dormitory, it is provided by the school centrally.
